Why BioPet Laboratories?

BioPet Laboratories is a trusted provider of DNA-based insights across animal health and identification. By acquiring Know Your Pet DNA, BioPet continues its mission to make reliable, science-driven genetic testing accessible to pet owners.

Unlike many consumer DNA services, BioPet operates its own laboratory facilities. This means BioPet manages the testing process internally—from DNA analysis to data review—using validated laboratory methods and strict quality controls.

As a result, every report reflects BioPet’s commitment to accuracy, transparency, and scientific integrity.

What Know Your Pet DNA Reports Include

Know Your Pet DNA reports are designed to be clear, practical, and easy to understand.

Reports include:

  • Breed insights, showing your dog’s breed background and genetic composition
  • Genetic trait reports, highlighting traits that may influence physical characteristics and behavior

While genetics provide valuable insights, they do not tell the whole story. Training, environment, and socialization also play an important role in shaping your dog’s behavior over time. Know Your Pet DNA reports are not intended to replace veterinary care.
